Auto poppers are targets that reset automatically with instant feedback allowing you more time to improve your skills and less time walking down range.

Unlike other designs, our Magnum Target Auto Reset Classic Popper Ground Target is constructed entirely out of 3/8” AR500 steel plate made in the USA! The target sits 6.5” above the ground and when assembled weighs 18 pounds. Auto reset double spring mechanism is fully protected behind the hardened steel target face and maintains optimal bullet deflection downward away from the shooter and others. They can be painted for maximum visibility and protection against corrosion.

This simple, robust design is quick and easy to assemble. Grab one 9/16” wrench for the ground brackets and one 3/4” socket or wrench for the spring assembly. With those two tools, you will have everything you need to set up your target (a ratcheting wrench, drill or impact driver will speed up the process). First, attach both pre-welded base stand legs to the bottom of the base plate using the 4 supplied 3/8” carriage bolts and lock nuts. Next attach the prairie dog body to the welded mounting plate using 2 supplied 1/2” carriage bolts, springs, and lock nuts. Alternate between tightening spring fasteners for equal tension and alignment. The distance from the front of the body to the rear of the mounting plate should be 3”.  Within a few minutes you're ready for many hours of recreational, competition and long distance hunting practice. Entire assembly weighs 18 pounds, allowing you to carry a couple down range at a time.

These AR500 steel targets are great for most pistol and rifle calibers, including .17 HMR, .22LR, 22-250, 9mm, 45ACP, .223, 300BLK, 6.5 Creedmoor, 30-06 & 308 as well as most other high powered rifle calibers.

Recommended minimum distances from steel targets to shooter are 15 yards for pistols and 100 yards for rifles.

This shooting target is rated for most handguns and rifles with muzzle velocities under 3,000 fps. They are built to withstand standard FMJ ammunition. Do not use armor piercing or steel core ammunition, it will damage all AR500 steel.

These products are precision cut with a CNC plasma cutter and water cooled during the cutting process to maintain the integrity of the steel, ensuring the longest life of the target.
